Books on my 2017 Reading list

2016 was not a good year for reading and finishing books, it seems I started many but only finished 2. With this in mind, I am making it my goal to read at least 3 books before my birthday in May (along with all the writing and editing I am planning to do for my new books).The first is Exodus by Leon Uris – which is a history of the creation of the state of Israel from the perspective of the United States of America – I really enjoy this kind of book so I am looking forward to collecting it from the library.The second is The Lowland by Jhumpa Lahiri (A 2013 Man Booker prize nominated book) which I am eager to get started on, I love cultural/political fiction.We Need New Names – by NoViolet Bulawayo another 2013 Man Booker Finalist which I don’t know a lot about so I am very eager to give it a go.If you have any suggestions to add to my list do please let me know in the comments. image pixabay.com
